If waiting for the lift has become a sport
A lift that's slow to arrive, overshoots the floor or jerks when it starts and stops almost always has an old controller. The good news: that's the part you can modernise without touching the rest.
It's almost always the controller, not the whole lift
The brain of a lift is its controller: the system that decides when it starts, how fast it goes and how it brakes. In older installations that system is electromechanical and has become slow. That’s why you notice things like these:
- It takes ages to come when you call it.
- It starts and stops with a jolt.
- It doesn’t level properly: the lift car stops a finger’s width above or below the landing.
- At peak times it gets overwhelmed and can’t keep up.
We modernise the controller and the control system and, if needed, add a frequency inverter. With that, the lift starts and stops smoothly, levels to the millimetre and responds faster to every call. There’s no need to replace the whole lift: only the part that has fallen behind is replaced.
Before saying anything, we inspect it and tell you exactly what yours needs. Every installation is different, and the solution is adapted to the one you already have.

Frequently asked questions
Does the whole lift need replacing?
No. In most cases it’s enough to modernise the controller and the control system. The rest (lift car, guide rails, structure) is kept.
How noticeable is the improvement?
From the very first trip: starting and braking are smooth, waiting times drop and the jolts disappear. It’s one of the improvements residents appreciate most.
Is it compatible with my lift?
Almost always. We confirm it during the check, looking at the make, the age and the type of controller you have.
