Your community's lift, explained so the whole owners' meeting understands it

We'll tell you what your current contract covers, what it's missing and what it would cost you with us. In writing and on a single page, so you can take it to the next meeting without having to defend anything you don't understand.

We know what worries you

The special levy

It's the phrase that sinks any proposal at an owners' meeting. However good the project is, if someone has to put in three thousand euros in one go, they'll vote no.

The small print

You sign a maintenance contract and six months later a repair bill arrives for something you'd assumed was included. Nobody can explain why. And whoever brought in the quote ends up taking the blame.

The works

Months of scaffolding, noise, dust and residents asking every day when it will be over. With one company for the building work, another for the electrics and another for the lift, and none of the three responsible for anything.

How we solve it

  1. 01

Against the special levy: grants plus financing

First, we look at which public grants your building may be eligible for. Whatever's left, we finance.

  2. 02

Against the small print: all three levels, in full

IM-I, IM-II and IM-III. You can see the full breakdown of what each one covers before you sign, print it and take it to the owners' meeting. If it's not in the table, it's not in the contract. And if it is, it is.

  3. 03

Against the fear of building work: a single company

We coordinate the works so you have one party responsible, not three companies pointing fingers at each other when something goes wrong.

Maintenance

The three levels, without the small print

This is the whole table. The same one you’d see if you came to our office. You can print it and hand it out at the owners’ meeting: if it’s not in the table, it’s not in the contract.

Contract review

What communities ask us

Can we switch maintenance company whenever we like?

It depends on what your current contract says about minimum term and notice period. When we review the contract, we’ll tell you the exact date from which you can leave and how to give notice, so there are no penalties.

Do we need the owners' meeting to agree before changing maintenance company?

Yes, which is why we give you the information in a format that can be presented and voted on. If you’d like someone from DBS to attend the meeting to explain the proposal and answer questions, we’ll always come along as long as the sales representative is available.

What's the difference between IM-I, IM-II and IM-III?

Essentially, who pays for repairs. IM-I covers inspection and maintenance; you pay for the parts. IM-II adds free repair of sixteen electrical components. IM-III covers practically everything, labour included. The full table is on the maintenance page.

How much does it cost?

It depends on your installation: number of floors, type of lift, age and the contract level you choose. That’s why we don’t give a generic figure that then doesn’t hold up. Send us your current contract or your building’s details and we’ll prepare a tailored offer, with no obligation.

What if the lift serves more than 6 floors?

We don’t set height limits: we adapt the solution to the building, whatever the number of floors.

Are there grants for installing a lift?

Yes. In Catalonia there are accessibility grants from the Generalitat and from several local councils. We’ll tell you which ones you’re eligible for and guide you through the process.
